Hailey and Triston had a beautiful fall day for their wedding day.  There was a little bit of concern about the weather, but the rain held off and it turned out to be the perfect day for a fall wedding in Door County.  Actually, the celebration was took place in both Door County and Kewaunee County.

The day began in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  Hailey and her bridesmaids began their day getting hair and makeup done at Invidia Salon in downtown Sturgeon Bay.  The stylists and make up artists at Invidia did a GREAT job making the girls look amazing for the wedding!

After hanging out at the salon, the group headed back to their room at Stone Harbor Resort on the Sturgeon Bay waterfront for the final touches.  At Stone Harbor, the girls got in to their gorgeous dresses and Hailey in to her stunning wedding dress.

The ceremony was held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay. (Fun fact, Corpus Christi was my church growing up.  I even went to Corpus Christi school for elementary school).  Since Hailey and Triston chose not to have a first look before the ceremony, Hailey chose to instead have a first look with her father.  The first look with Dad was so emotional!  At first glance, emotions took over both father and daughter in an indescribably meaningful moment.  Moments like this is why I am a wedding photographer.  It was beautiful!

The ceremony itself was really great too!  There were readings perfectly fitted for the occasion, a candle lighting ceremony, and rose gifts to parents.  This was a very traditional ceremony and was an all around perfect celebration of the love Hailey and Triston share.

After the ceremony, the wedding party hopped in their limo and we headed south towards Kewaunee for the reception at the Barn Site Retreat.  Along the way, we made a few stops for some pictures.  The first stop was at the Michigan Street Steel Bridge for some awesome photos using the bridge as a backdrop.  We even had cooperation with passing traffic as they allowed us to pose the couple in the center of the bridge for a dramatic dip shot!

Next, we traveled south for our second stop in the extremely windy Algoma, Wisconsin.  There is a great boardwalk on the shore of Lake Michigan that was perfect for some wedding party photos, family photos with both sides of the family, and of course some more couples photos!

Finally, we arrived at the Barnsite Retreat and Event Center in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.  I have to say, this was a wonderful venue for a reception!  It was perfectly laid out with dinner served on the ground level and there were some very good speeches by the best men, maid of honor, and the father of the bride.

After dinner, the wedding party and guests moved upstairs where Alton from Soundfire DJ had the party ready to go. Hailey and Triston got right in to their first dances.  First up was Hailey and her father, followed by Triston and his mom, and finally Hailey and Triston shared their first dance as husband and wife.  The rest of the night was a perfectly emceed party by Alton that had the guests dancing for the rest of the night.
