Jenny and Bryan had a stunning, amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, and epic wedding day!  I can’t say enough about how cool that day was to capture!

The day began with some prep at Stone Harbor resort where Jenny and Bryan got to spend some quality time with their wedding party before the main festivities began.  There was some very heartwarming first looks with the bridesmaids, one with Jenny’s dad, and even a first touch with the couple.

The ceremony, expertly officiated by Jenny’s nephew, was beautiful with Sturgeon Bay’s working waterfront as a backdrop.  It doesn’t get much better than that!

After the ceremony, we headed out to that same waterfront with the wedding party for some photos with the group.  The group celebrated with a champagne toast just as the bridge was going up in the background.  Great timing!

We raced the clouds to get in all the photos we wanted and finished just as the rainstorm moved in.

After photos the couple, wedding party, and guests headed in to the ballroom of Stone Harbor which looked absolutely stunning!  I’ve never seen that room look better with the tables perfectly adorned, streamers from the ceiling, and decorations scattered beautifully around the room.  It was a great setting as a slideshow featuring the couples’ lives together played while dinner was being served.

After dinner it was time for the party to begin!  Jenny and Bryan had an awesome first dance that was definitely choreographed a little bit, which was super fun!  After dances, the floor opened up to the guests and they took advantage!

One of the photos my couples love to capture is a beautiful Door County sunset.  Unfortunately, the rain moved in and pretty much dashed our dreams for such a photo.  Then I got a tap on my shoulder from my assistant who then pointed outside.  You could see something was happening out there.  There was a glow.  Slight as first then very bright.  The sun was peeking through!

The most gorgeous lighting you can ever see was hitting the bridge and all of downtown Sturgeon Bay.  We raced outside to take advantage as we only had seconds before the sun would drop too low.  We were treated with one of the most dramatic skies!  Even by Door County standards, this was unreal.  And Door County is known for sunsets!

And then, a rainbow appeared!

This was one of the most breathtaking sunsets and evenings I have ever witnessed.  As a photographer, I was very excited for Jenny and Bryan to have these photos because this simply does not happen on a wedding day.

It was a beautiful day and I am very excited to share this SNEAK PEEK!
