From the introductory chat all the way to image delivery, I want to make your wedding photography booking process to go as smoothly as possible.  Scroll through this page to follow along with the basic process of booking me as your wedding photographer.

BOOKING

1. Check Availability

The first step is to get in touch with me by phone, email, or the contact form below to check availability.  The easiest way is to use the contact form on my website.  Let me know the date of your wedding and some overall plans that you have for how your day will go.  I’ll get back to you super fast!  Usually within 24 hours.

2. Introductory Chat

Next, we’ll set up a time to chat about your wedding day plans and what you are looking for in a photographer.  We’ll plan to meet over coffee, talk on the phone, or over Zoom/Facetime.  This is a great opportunity for us to talk about your plans and basically just get to know each other a bit to see if we are a good fit.

We will go over the details of your day, talk about my photography and what you are looking for with your photos, and of course go over packages and pricing.  I don’t do high pressure sales and there won’t be any of those “book me today or the price goes up” shenanigans.  This is just a time to talk and give you and your fiance a chance to talk with me and ask any questions you might have before committing to a photographer.

3. Booking Your Photographer

When you are ready to go forward and book me as your photographer.  All that is needed to reserve your wedding day is a signed contract and booking fee. I have a flat fee of $1000 to reserve the date.  I’ll email you an online booking proposal with all the details for you to look over. This booking proposal will easily walk you through the simple steps for finalizing your wedding date.  I like doing online contracts much better than mailing a paper contract back and forth.

Once that is taken care of we will be all set!  Your date will be reserved on my calendar and you’ll have one less thing to worry about!

Planning

Once you’re booked, there won’t be much else to do from a photography standpoint until closer to your wedding day. Although I am happy to answer questions and hear your ideas at any time before the wedding!

About 6 weeks before your wedding day, I will send you a questionnaire to go over that will ask about all the details of your wedding such as venue information, timeline, photo requests, and things like that. Your responses will help me prepare my gameplan for the day.

After you’ve had a chance to fill out the questionnaire, we’ll set up a time to meet again to go over the final details. We’ll finalize my start time, go over last minute photo ideas, and make sure we are 100% ready for the big day.

ON THE WEDDING DAY

On the day of the wedding, here’s what you can expect from me. I, along with my assistants and second photographer, will be cordial and friendly. I’ll arrive at the set time and work tirelessly to capture all the moments of your day. I will be efficient and will follow your timeline and make sure to capture all the shots that tell the story of your day.

Prep

The first thing I will photograph when I arrive is capture the details of your wedding day preparation.

Depending on your plans, I will arrive at the location of your hair and makeup and take photos of the finishing touches. We’ll capture some fun photos of you with your wedding party, the dress “zip-up”, and I’ll gather some of the details photos.

Ceremony

This is what we’re all here for!

When the ceremony begins, I will make sure everyone on my team is in position to capture all the big moments of the ceremony such as the procession, vows, and the first kiss.

Portraits

We will capture some formal photos with your and your new husband/wife, your family, your wedding party, and whomever else you want to be sure to include.

We will be sure to have some nice photos in front of the ceremony venue, and then we’ll have some fun with more creative photos. If you would like to visit a few additional locations with your wedding party for photos, I’m game!

Reception

After the big events of the day, now it’s time to have some fun!

I will capture the reception and all those big moments that happen as your family and friends gather to celebrate you. I’ll be there for the speeches, first dances, cake cutting, and dancing photos.
